Originally graduated in the field of environmental studies and science communication, I had the opportunity to teach French for two years as a language assistant at the University of La Paz in Mexico. This experience, combined with my passion for travel and languages, naturally led me toward teaching French as a foreign language. For me, learning a language is not just about grammar and conjugation: above all, it is a human adventure made of cultural exchanges, sharing, and enjoyable moments. My name is Théo, I’m 26, and I moved from France to Canada a year ago after completing my Master’s in Human Resources. As this is my first experience living abroad, I’m really enjoying the chance to immerse myself in a new culture, improve my English, and grow professionally. Florence Horthence is my name. I am currently a Ph.D. student. Teaching is my family heirloom. A part from teaching, I also have experiences as Head Teacher of a secondary school in Cameroon, as teacher in Saint Paul’s Convent school and as Assistant Pastoral care in Saint Paul secondary school Happy Valley in Hong Kong. 

Besides strengthening my communication and problem-solving skills, my experiences help me to get along with different cultures, digital culture, international education and to acquire experiences on a global scale.

My name is Mélodie and I am a new French teacher in Canada, I will be a certified French teacher DAEFLE in 2025. 

I used to work in healthcare for 11 years in France and Switzerland, so I am patient and empathetic. I started learning English at the end of 2020 and this sparked an interest to share my passion of language learning with students by teaching my native language.
